[TIP Proposal] Organizational Chart Development and Posting
Submitted to: Platform and Treasury Council
Proposed by: BZ
Date: 4/24/2025
Funding Request: None
Category: Transparency / Governance / Community Engagement

## Overview

This proposal requests the development and publication of an up-to-date organizational chart displaying all current elected seats for each Telcoin Association Council on the official Telcoin website. The chart will provide a clear, accessible, and authoritative reference for the community, stakeholders, and prospective participants, supporting transparency and engagement in Telcoin governance.

## Purpose

Publishing a comprehensive organizational chart will:

- Clearly display the structure of Telcoin governance, including all councils and their current elected members.
- Help community members and stakeholders easily identify council representatives and vacant seats.
- Foster transparency and accountability by making council composition public and accessible.
- Encourage broader participation by clarifying opportunities for involvement and upcoming elections.

This initiative aligns with the Association’s mission to promote open, community-driven governance and supports the ongoing decentralization of authority and duties within the Telcoin ecosystem.

## Scope of Work

- **Research and Documentation**
  - Gather and verify the current list of elected council members for each council, including Platform, Treasury, TAN, TELx, and Compliance Councils.
  - Identify vacant seats and note the Miner Group each seat represents (Stakers, Developers, Liquidity Miners, Validators).

- **Design**
  - Create a visually intuitive organizational chart that clearly indicates:
    - Each council’s structure and function.
    - The number of seats per council and Miner Group.
    - Current officeholders, with names and, where appropriate, contact links.
    - Vacant seats, highlighted for transparency.

- **Web Integration**
  - Collaborate with the Telcoin Autonomous Ops (TAO) and web team to integrate the chart into the Telcoin website in a prominent, easily accessible location.
  - Ensure the chart is regularly updated after each election or council change.

- **Community Communication**
  - Announce the chart’s publication through official channels and invite feedback for continuous improvement.

## Council Structure Reference

Based on the latest governance documentation and election guidelines, council seat allocation is as follows:

| Council | Stakers | Developers | Liquidity Miners | Validators | Total Seats |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Platform Council | 2 | 2 | 2 | 2 | 8 |
| Treasury Council | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 4 |
| TAN Council | 2 | 2 | 1 | 1 | 6 |
| TELx Council | 1 | 1 | 3 | 1 | 6 |
| Compliance Council | 1 | 1 | 1 | 1 | 4 |

_Note: These numbers reflect the inaugural election allocations; updates may be required as governance evolves._

## Expected Outcomes

- An authoritative, always up-to-date organizational chart published on the Telcoin website.
- Increased transparency and trust in Telcoin Association governance.
- Improved community engagement and participation in council elections.
- A scalable template for future governance documentation and reporting.

## Closing Notes

By approving this proposal, the council will take a concrete step toward greater transparency and community empowerment. The organizational chart will serve as a living document, reflecting the evolving leadership of the Telcoin Association and supporting its mission of open, decentralized governance. Approval and support for this initiative will modernize civic engagement and strengthen community trust.

BZ,

Wonderful proposal.

While I have a set of Association visualizations for your review below, the proposal specifies a more dynamic visualization outside of my personal skillset. Therefore, in line with what you mentioned on the previous council call, I think this warrants a TELIP. And I think that proposal should include a request for an external services provider to contract with the Association via the TAO to implement what we want here.

Looking forward to getting this refined and implemented!

Best,

PS

I think publishing this information would be really useful. I also think it would be great to get an idea of rough designs for what we want. From discussions in Discord I was thinking the following diagram would be useful to give people an idea of what is going on at a high level:

 ![image](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex032/uploads/telcoin/original/1X/04d2ee4deb3b0d745915d1383cf8f3b857500ced.png)

And then have a dedicated council members section with contact details. I created a very rough mockup of how it could be laid out which was loosely inspired by [Synthetix’s page here](https://www.synthetix.io/governance):

 ![image](https://canada1.discourse-cdn.com/flex032/uploads/telcoin/original/1X/088ed45e9c6f8dbbd8d0d40a44817351aee1202f.png)

If we get a better idea of the end goal we can figure out who we need to hire to make it happen

Update:

We’ve made progress on the org chart, and are working on the other operational flow charts that @parkerspann has given us.

Next steps is working through how this will live on [Telcoin.org](http://Telcoin.org) as a great resource to show interactively what each council does and how it interacts with the network environment
