Submitted by: Steven (TAN Council)
Submission Date: July 24, 2025
Budget Requested: $60,000
Purpose
This proposal seeks funding for a professionally executed marketing campaign combined with a TANIP‑1 smart contract audit and enhancement initiative, with optional scope for building new features such as missions, quests, or gamified incentives. Together, this creates an impactful push toward broader adoption, transparency, and long-term program evolution — without enforcing a rigid timeline for delivery.
Background & Context
TANIP‑1 represents the Telcoin Association’s decentralized approach to incentivizing participation and behavior across the ecosystem. Yet it faces two primary friction points:
- Limited visibility and user understanding, especially beyond core users
- Structural weaknesses that can lead to unintended behavior (e.g., wallet fragmentation or reward hoarding)
This proposal addresses both by combining:
- A high-quality, paid ecosystem awareness campaign, and
- A Council-governed TANIP‑1 audit + upgrade path, including exploration of gamified incentives or tiered rewards based on feasibility and community approval.
Scope of Work
1. Marketing & Awareness Campaign
Executed by Marketing Firm 1 or equivalent:
- 2–3 short-form explainer videos (for X, YouTube, Website)
- Educational visuals, tweet threads, and community toolkits
- Paid distribution across X, YouTube, Reddit, Google, etc.
- Custom landing pages (TANIP‑1 + Stake/Refer education)
- Ongoing performance tracking and optimization reporting
Note: While Stake & Refer is outside TAN governance, it will be promoted in educational content to provide full ecosystem context.
2. TANIP‑1 Audit, Upgrade & Feature Development (Optional)
Led by a reputable third-party dev/audit firm:
- Full smart contract security and behavioral audit
- Resolution of any vulnerabilities, inefficiencies, or exploits
- Open publication of findings and patch proposals
- Optional exploration of enhancements such as:
- Missions or quest mechanics for ongoing engagement
- Tiered user rewards (XP, streaks, on-chain achievements)
- Gamified feedback loops that align with governance goals
