Specializations

Marketing

  • As the owner of several companies and start-ups, I have undertaken multiple roles, including marketing and sales, for over 20 years. My experience with start-ups has given me a unique perspective on taking an initial idea and growing it into something tangible.

  • Served as a “Regional Mentor” for the Midwest for an organization known as PASS, where my primary responsibility was to help individual local user groups grow their user bases and assist cities and areas without groups to start, market, and grow their own.

  • Served as an ambassador for several technology companies, helping to educate their user bases on the proper use and adoption of their platforms.

Education

  • Written several books and courses that range from introductory-level content to advanced material that appeals to specialists. My books have been published internationally and translated into dozens of languages, demonstrating their wide reach.

  • Public speaker at local user groups, regional events, and national conventions, covering a wide range of topics, primarily focused on cutting-edge development. My specialty is breaking down complex systems into smaller, understandable components so developers can grasp how something works behind the scenes.

  • Served as a beta-tester and early adopter of various technologies, including .NET Core and SQL Server-based technologies.

Council Nomination Application

Introduction

How did you find out about Telcoin and why are you excited about being a part of the Telcoin community?

  • I discovered Telcoin through a post by @Paddy_Stash in January 2020. The concept of enabling low-cost remittances without bank accounts immediately intrigued me, and I remain committed to the platform’s goal of financial inclusion.

What experience do you have in interacting with the Telcoin Platform as a user, miner, and/or overall ecosystem participant?

  • I currently have the app, have staked in the LPs, stake in the app, and run a small number of AWS-based functions (<18) that track account interactions on the blockchain. I have interacted with almost every aspect of the ecosystem in some manner over the past few years.

  • Currently scoping out business plans for developing and deploying apps on the upcoming Telcoin Network.

  • Helped by adjusting rewards script for Staking Rewards to address some shortcomings in calclulating users base amount of staked TEL

Why Should You Be Selected?

Why are you running for this position?

  • I believe the ecosystem is at a crucial juncture. My goal is to drive community re-engagement through aggressive development initiatives, focusing on attracting external developers to build innovative Dapps on our platform. If we are able to offer a lower TCO and a more innovative feature set versus other chains then I believe we can spike adoption which will be key to the organization’s success.

What unique skills, experiences, and credentials do you bring to the role that will assist you in fulfilling your regular and special duties?

  • I have been interested and involved in blockchain technologies since 2011 and even still have my first desktop that I built as a mining rig. My experience in handling complex payment systems that process millions of dollars annually and managing cloud spend budgets of over $1 million per month can help guide us towards scalable and secure solutions that align with our mission of global financial inclusion.

What changes and improvements do you plan to propose?

  • I have already made several proposals and a couple of code contributions and plan on continuing to push on the development and release of the network while addressing the issue of increasing overall liquidity within the network protocols we are working in.

How will you represent your miner group in decision-making processes to ensure their interests are being voiced and protected?

  • As a user and now a contributor to the ecosystem, I am deeply invested in the platform’s success and will continue to ensure that decisions that are made are in the best interest of Stakers group which has a very necessary role within the ecosystem.

How will you keep your constituency informed?

  • I will actively engage on X, Telegram, and Discord, and will explore launching a blog or newsletter for broader updates. I plan to provide updates at least bi-weekly or as necessary. I will be open to feedback from the community to ensure their concerns are effectively addressed.

How much time can you dedicate to the role each week?

  • Given my flexible schedule, I can dedicate as much time as necessary, estimating around 10 hours per week to fulfill the duties of this role effectively.
