Platform Council Liquid Delegation: Stakers

Update (2025/02/21): As decided by the Platform Council in their meeting on 2025/02/20, the Snapshot vote will go live on March 7, 2025 at 6PM CT

Context: This liquid delegation proposal is being submitted following the passing of CCIP1, which resulted in the removal of a Platform Council member representing the Stakers miner group due to a failure to meet participation requirements. Their governance NFT has been revoked, and the Telcoin Autonomous Ops (TAO) has temporarily taken over voting responsibilities until the vacancy can be filled through this process. The TAO’s role as a substitute voter ensures that affected proposals, which in this case received unanimous consent from the other council members and achieved the approval rate threshold of 6/8, can be voted into action.

Per the Liquid Delegation Rules, this proposal is being initiated to elect a new Council Member from the Stakers miner group. As the seat is available (as a result of CCIP1) the previous member won’t be included in the subsequent snapshot vote by default.

Liquid Delegation Process

  • Miner Group Affected: Stakers
  • Vacant Seat: 1 Platform Council position
  • Proposal Authority: As per the Liquid Delegation Rules, this proposal will be submitted by the TAO.

  • Voting Duration: 7 days

What are the current time commitment requirements? As in, are there regular meetings already scheduled? In which time zone are they held?

I would say 10 hours per week would keep you up to date and allow you to sufficiently engage with the community and get the word out. Biweekly meetings and spending some time on the forum, discord and other social media sights is most of the duty. There is a TAN council meeting today at 4pm CST. You should check it out to get an idea.

Best of luck to all applicants.

Please apply only if you are genuinely committed and prepared to dedicate the necessary time, effort, and expertise. The Global Platform Council, along with the Telcoin Association as a whole, functions as a collaborative team — every member plays a vital role in driving the platform’s growth and long-term success.

This is not a position for those seeking a passive role. We’re looking for individuals who are ready to apply their skills, connections, and industry knowledge to help shape the strongest possible future for the Telcoin platform.

Please also understand that this role comes with both community support and, at times, criticism. The Telcoin community is passionate, engaged, and highly vocal. When they see genuine commitment and consistent effort, they will have your back. However, you’ll need resilience and the determination to stay focused when facing skepticism. A thick skin and a results-driven mindset are essential to push through challenges and prove the doubters wrong through hard work and dedication.

We look forward to welcoming driven, capable, and engaged individuals to the Telcoin Association.

Council Nomination Application

Introduction

How did you find out about Telcoin and why are you excited about being a part of the Telcoin community?

  • I discovered Telcoin through a post by @Paddy_Stash in January 2020. The concept of enabling low-cost remittances without bank accounts immediately intrigued me, and I remain committed to the platform’s goal of financial inclusion.

What experience do you have in interacting with the Telcoin Platform as a user, miner, and/or overall ecosystem participant?

  • I currently have the app, have staked in the LPs, stake in the app, and run a small number of AWS-based functions (<18) that track account interactions on the blockchain. I have interacted with almost every aspect of the ecosystem in some manner over the past few years.
  • Currently scoping out business plans for developing and deploying apps on the upcoming Telcoin Network.

Why Should You Be Selected?

Why are you running for this position?

  • I believe the ecosystem is at a crucial juncture. My goal is to drive community re-engagement through aggressive development initiatives, focusing on attracting external developers to build innovative Dapps on our platform. If we are able to offer a lower TCO and a more innovative feature set versus other chains then I believe we can spike adoption which will be key to the organization’s success.

What unique skills, experiences, and credentials do you bring to the role that will assist you in fulfilling your regular and special duties?

  • I have been interested and involved in blockchain technologies since 2011 and even still have my first desktop that I built as a mining rig. My experience in handling complex payment systems that process millions of dollars annually and managing cloud spend budgets of over $1 million per month can help guide us towards scalable and secure solutions that align with our mission of global financial inclusion.

What changes and improvements do you plan to propose?

  • I plan to implement targeted initiatives to attract external development efforts, including developer outreach programs, incentives, and improved access to testnets and resources. I believe there is a significant gap between what we currently offer to stakers and what could be offered, and it is my intention to help close that gap.

How will you represent your miner group in decision-making processes to ensure their interests are being voiced and protected?

  • As a user of the ecosystem, I am deeply invested in balancing long-term ecosystem growth with the interests of early backers. I will ensure our community’s voice is heard and considered in all decisions.

How will you keep your constituency informed?

  • I will actively engage on X, Telegram, and Discord, and will explore launching a blog or newsletter for broader updates. I plan to provide updates at least bi-weekly or as necessary. I will be open to feedback from the community to ensure their concerns are effectively addressed.

How much time can you dedicate to the role each week?

  • Given my flexible schedule, I can dedicate as much time as necessary, estimating around 10 hours per week to fulfill the duties of this role effectively.

Introduction

How did you find out about Telcoin and why are you excited about being a part of the Telcoin community.
I found out about Telcoin in May 2021 at the time that alt season was fully ongoing. There were two projects that caught my attention of which Telcoin the most promising. As a finance guy I was particular interested in the fact the there was a fast way to transfer funds between individuals at a minimum cost. Such project could fully disrupt the financial world. The most attractive part of the Telcoin project is that they are striving for financial inclusion. In my opinion this is key for improving the situation for all people in the world. That’s why I want to be part of the Telcoin Community.

What experience do you have in interacting with the Telcoin Platform as a user, miner, and/or overall ecosystem participant?
I am no Engineer nor do I want to pretend this to be as Telcoin has the best qualified team of specialist. Have theoretical understanding how the ecosystem will be functioning. As of v3 I am using the platform but for now only as a mean of storage because the trading possibilities are limited.

Why should you be selected?

Why are you running for this position?
I am running for this position because I want represent the voice of the Telcoin community and particular those that does not know very much about the technics of the platform and help translate their needs into products inside the ecosystem.

What unique skills, experiences and credentials do you bring to the role that will assist you in fulfilling your regular and special duties?
I am used to work together with multiple of stakeholders and their level of expertise and can translate their needs or output into clear and direct communications which helps to achieve the end goal of projects.

What changes and improvements do you plan to propose?
Community and clear communication is vital for long term commitment. Therefore I want to implement a quarterly community update providing that there is enough meaningful news/information to be shared

How will you represent your miner group in decision-making processes to ensure their interests are being voiced and protected? By carefully listen and read comments /inputs from the community and summaries those at point of agenda during council meeting.

How will you keep your constituency informed?
Via regular social media posts I will give them summaries of meetings or progresses.

How much time can you dedicate to the role each week?
I am very flexible with my own hours. Based on the current situation I will be able to spend at least 6 hours per week and if needed more if required to have things done. Hard working is my second nature.

Specializations

Education

  • I graduated from Chapman University’s Dodge College of Film and Media Arts with a Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies with a Minor in Business Administration.

Marketing

  • After interning at Telcoin as a Research Assistant, I joined the company full time in 2022 as a Marketing Analyst, briefly working out of the Los Angeles office before transferring to Tokyo. Since last fall, I have transitioned to a Business Development Associate role while still fulfilling marketing and comms duties.
  • As part of the marketing team, one of the core skills I’ve crafted has been the ability to take complicated blockchain topics and present them in a digestible form for both the Telcoin community and those less experienced in blockchain. I hope to provide transparent updates within the confines of relevant NDAs if elected to the Platform Council.
  • While some in the community have grown frustrated by Telcoin’s infrequent communication in years past, I fully stand by our policy of building in silence and posting updates only when we have real news and/or results as opposed to mere speculation. As a Staker on the Platform Council, I would exercise similar restraint and responsibility.

Ecosystem Development

  • As a Business Development Associate at Telcoin, I am working on recruiting mobile network operators to join Telcoin Network as Validators. I just wrapped up a full week of networking with the team at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.

Council Nomination Application

Introduction

How did you find out about Telcoin and why are you excited about being a part of the Telcoin community?

  • I met the original Telcoin team in July 2017 while visiting Tokyo, where I first heard about the company’s goal of uniting telecommunications and blockchain. Having followed the company’s progress ever since that first meeting, I was thrilled to join Telcoin full time in May 2022. Since taking an active role in marketing and community relations, I’ve been repeatedly awed by the enthusiasm and passion in the Telcoin community.

What experience do you have in interacting with the Telcoin Platform as a user, miner, and/or overall ecosystem participant?

  • I’ve used the Telcoin Wallet to send fiat remittances, held and staked tokens on the app, and – as part of my role in the marketing team – produced numerous official tutorial videos to help the community understand certain topics and procedures (e.g. how to vote in Telcoin Association elections; how to withdraw TEL from KuCoin; how to bridge TEL from Ethereum to Polygon). Following my transition to business development, I am currently pursuing mobile network operators to serve as Validators on Telcoin Network.

Why should you be selected?

Why are you running for this position?

  • Almost every Telcoin post on social media results in numerous replies from people asking for exchange listings, even though Telcoin Association (not Telcoin Holdings) now governs TEL. As a Telcoin employee and enthusiast of the Telcoin Platform as a whole, I share the community’s desire for more widespread access to TEL via additional listings on centralized exchanges. If elected to the Platform Council, my primary objective would be to assist Adam Parker in pursuing exchange listings. As a Telcoin employee, I am uniquely positioned to assist with exchange applications, as I could provide all relevant documentation needed and answer all applicable questions due to my vast knowledge of the company and ecosystem. In essence, an election to the Platform Council would allow me to “wear two hats” and directly assist with exchange applications while separately continuing with my BD and marketing work at Telcoin. This is directly in line with one of the responsibilities of Stakers: to drive platform adoption. Ultimately I believe that if TEL is more accessible to the masses, this increased exposure will drive platform adoption and bring more users to the Telcoin Wallet.
  • In addition to helping drive exchange listings, I would like to produce educational content about the utility of TEL as the gas token of Telcoin Network. With the network set to launch later this year, education will be critical to both Telcoin Platform users and MNO Validators. Having additional educational content on the official Telcoin Association and Telcoin Network websites about TEL and its utility would be very useful when presenting a mobile network operator with the opportunity to serve as Validator.

What unique skills, experiences, and credentials do you bring to the role that will assist you in fulfilling your regular and special duties?

  • I bring almost three years of experience as a full-time Telcoin employee with specializations in business development, marketing, and ecosystem education. As stated elsewhere, my unique position as a Telcoin employee will be advantageous for both pursuing exchange listings and producing educational content.

What changes and improvements do you plan to propose?

  • Please refer to the “Why are you running for this position?” section. My primary goals would be to drive new exchange listings and produce educational content about TEL as the gas token of Telcoin Network.

How will you represent your miner group in decision-making processes to ensure their interests are being voiced and protected?

  • If elected, I would invite civil feedback from Stakers and voice their valid concerns and requests during council meetings. I am open to contact at my social media handles listed above.

How will you keep your constituency informed?

  • In addition to providing updates on the council meetings, I will interact with the community on X and Discord via regular comms and answers to relevant questions. I hope to foster healthy communication and transparency. If elected, I would ask that the community respect my separate roles as a Telcoin employee and a Telcoin Association council member, and refrain from using the latter’s forum for questions related strictly to Telcoin Holdings.

How much time can you dedicate to the role each week?

  • I can dedicate about 10 hours a week in addition to my commitments as a Telcoin employee.
