Marketing and Education - I began creating educational content about Telcoin in 2017, shortly after its KuCoin listing. My focus was on helping users understand blockchain fundamentals, from identifying telecom and mobile money integrations to teaching DeFi concepts, RPC setup, contract interaction, staking, and bridging long before these became common practice.
Incentives - I’ve contributed to multiple DAOs and played an active role in designing incentive programs for liquidity providers at DFX Finance. I authored several proposals to refine LP reward structures and co-created a Proof of Attendance Protocol (POAP) initiative, allowing community members to collect on-chain badges commemorating key moments in DFX’s growth.
Communication - As an early ambassador for Telcoin, I served as one of the project’s main community voices from 2017 onward helping maintain trust and transparency during key growth periods. Later, as the Growth Marketing & Public Affairs Lead at DFX, I managed community engagement, daily communications, and all social media content. Today, I continue that work as Social Media & Community Manager at The Block, a leading crypto media publication, where I manage public-facing communications and community engagement strategies across platforms.
Council Nomination Application:
Introduction:
How did you find out about Telcoin and why are you excited about being a part of the Telcoin community
I first discovered Telcoin in 2017 when it was listed on KuCoin and have been part of the community ever since. I’ve experienced all the highs and lows alongside the team and community, and wouldn’t change a thing. Telcoin has always represented innovation and purpose in crypto, and I’m proud to have supported it from the early days.
What experience do you have in interacting with the Telcoin Platform as a user, miner, and/or overall ecosystem participant?
Over the years, I’ve actively participated as a liquidity provider, created educational content to help others get involved, and maintained maximum staking within the mobile app. Telcoin also opened doors for me to collaborate with other DAOs and DeFi protocols, expanding my understanding of governance.
Why should you be selected?
I’m deeply committed to Telcoin’s long-term success and believe my mix of experience and forward-thinking mindset would bring value to the council. I’ve proven my ability to create meaningful growth strategies and would love to collaborate with other members who share the same passion for blockchain’s real-world impact.
Why are you running for this position?
I want to contribute wherever I can add value, not to take space but to strengthen the council. I see this role as an opportunity to help balance perspectives, streamline communication, and ensure progress continues effectively and transparently.
What unique skills, experiences and credentials do you bring to the role that will assist you in fulfilling your regular and special duties?
8+ years in crypto, blockchain marketing and community management.
Deep connections across government, crypto projects, and KOL networks
Proven success in community growth, incentive design, and DAO participation.
Current Social Media & Community Manager at The Block, giving me real-time insight into the broader Web3 ecosystem.
Strong understanding of communication strategy and crisis management from years of public-facing roles.
What changes and improvements do you plan to propose?
My initial focus would be identifying low-hanging fruit, quick wins that bring tangible improvements to the ecosystem. I want to listen to the community and help develop fair, balanced proposals that benefit everyone, not just a few.
How will you represent your miner group in decision-making processes to ensure their interests are being voiced and protected?
I’ll represent all miners and stakeholders fairly and transparently, ensuring every decision reflects the community’s interests. My approach will always be to listen first, act with reason, and communicate openly.
How will you keep your constituency informed?
I’ll keep the community informed through my social channels, participate in Telfam streams, and respond promptly to questions and feedback (yes, even faster than usual, lol). Open communication is key to a healthy ecosystem.
How much time can you dedicate to the role each week?
I can dedicate 5–10 hours per week, with flexibility depending on work and family obligations. I’m committed to supporting the council however needed to ensure Telcoin’s continued success.
I’m super excited to have Coty join the TAN council. No question about the value he’ll add. His resume and tenure in the industry speak for themselves!
