Following Council guidance to request funding for operational costs and service fees related to expanded meeting coverage, this request includes:

  • Necessary software subscriptions for streaming and meeting hosting
  • Professional service fees for streaming, hosting, and editing via Fabcrowd Ventures LLC (BZ / Derek)

  • Software cost prorated at ~$5.17 per stream if not using retainer
  • Assuming 6 streams/month:
    • Streaming fee = $600 USD / ~171,426 TEL
    • Software fee = $30.99 USD / ~8,856 TEL
  • → Total estimated monthly cost: $630.99 USD / ~180,282 TEL

The Council can choose either retainer-based funding or a per-stream funding model, depending on governance preference and budget flexibility.

Im curious as to why the streams need to be edited. Couldn’t they just be recorded via zoom and uploaded directly to a Telcoin Council Youtube account? I think I would prefer an unedited video of the meeting.

Certainly an option, the editing that is done is adding subtitles, cutting out any sections where there are mic issues or tech issues, adding in any presented slides, adding timestamps for easy navigation on YouTube, and adding a professional introduction.

The raw version can certainly be uploaded as well if preferred, but would not have timestamps or important clips. People would have to watch the whole hour to get to the information they are looking for.

I should also mention that sub clips of important topics are often edited for ease of posting on social media or drawing reference to a specific topic.

I think we should get this going. I think the monthly retainer is the right option. BZ has been doing this already so let’s get him paid! For the remaining 6 months of the year it would equal around 740k tel. We could use the unclaimed rewards (or whatever other source we come up with) and then the expense could be written into the year 3 budget. If it’s a monthly payment I just would like the tel used to be adjusted to be equal to the $480
