  • Ad-hoc twitter Telcoin marketing using self-generated content

• Council Nomination Application: Provide responses to the following questions:
• Introduction
• How did you find out about Telcoin and why are you excited about being a part of the Telcoin community
I first found out about Telcoin via a UK-based contractor chat and bought TEL in March 2018 after it launched on KuCoin. I have since followed Telcoin via official and community Telegram chats.

I am excited to be part of one of the few real-world crypto projects that potentially can make a difference to people’s lives. By helping remittance households receive more of the money that their loved ones send from abroad, Telcoin can promote financial inclusion, which can help people access and use financial services, even if they do not have a bank account.

• What experience do you have in interacting with the Telcoin Platform as a user, miner, and/or overall ecosystem participant?

  • I am a TEL Liquidity miner from the very beginning in October 2020, initially adding to the TEL-WETH pool on Ethereum. I am currently a member of a number of TELx liquidity pools on Polygon and plan to continue providing liquidity to the Telcoin Network.
  • I help out as an Admin in the TELx Pool Tips telegram channel for users with queries and I am a TEL staker.
  • I regularly contribute and share information to a number of community telegram channels and have passed on feedback from these channels to the Telcoin team via Discord in the past.
  • I keep up to date with Telcoin news by subscribing to various channels and follow social media accounts. I attend Telcoin online events where I can, or listen to recordings of chats and spaces events the following day.
  • I participated in the initial snapshot vote for TGIP1.

• Why should you be selected?
My goal is to achieve fairness and transparency, and join a team that oversees the proper allocation of TEL issuance to the TELx liquidity pools, with frequent evaluations as the ecosystem evolves. I also want to help keep the liquidity miners informed of any changes or deadlines for specific issuance periods.

• Why are you running for this position?
I enjoy helping people, researching Telcoin and their target markets and users, and sharing news about Telcoin via Telegram and social media. I wish to contribute to Telcoin’s success.

• What unique skills, experiences and credentials do you bring to the role that will assist you in fulfilling your regular and special duties?
I am an experienced Telcoin user and supporter, and I have been involved in the Telcoin liquidity mining pools since they started. I can offer technical guidance on wallets, DeFi, bridging and DeFi aggregation. I share Telcoin’s vision and goals and I know the value of the TELx liquidity engine within the Telcoin ecosystem.

• What changes and improvements do you plan to propose?
Predominantly education, building on the good work that has already been developed on the TELx community site. I’m mindful that as crypto is a fast-changing field, the information we share today may not be relevant or clear next week. This can be frustrating for new users looking to follow technical instructions carefully on a step-by-step basis. Simple changes such as the screen layout looking different to the guide or video, or a recent web site refresh can deter new users or have them reaching out for help. Regular reviews combined with published review dates will help ensure that people have and use the most up-to-date and accurate educational resources available.

• How will you represent your miner group in decision-making processes to ensure their interests are being voiced and protected?
By consulting with the other members of the TELx Council and reaching agreements to take the best way forward.

• How will you keep your constituency informed?
Via Telegram, Discord, social media or DMs if requested

• How much time can you dedicate to the role each week?
I work 9-5 from Monday to Friday in the UK, so approximately up to 10 hours per week.

Council Nomination Application:
Introduction

  • How did you find out about Telcoin and why are you excited about being a part of the Telcoin community
  • I’ve been involved in crypto since July 2017 and was recommended Telcoin through a TG channel – did some research – liked what I discovered, the core use case made sense & I bought my first Tel through Kucoin in May 2018. Rode through the slump when Claude left and especially over last few years have become more and more convinced in the values and objectives of the team and project as a whole.
  • I truly believe Defi will become the norm and empower people towards change, and that the Telx platform will evolve to provide a world class, Centre of Excellence in the Defi space. Globally and gradually over time, people will transact differently and I believe Telcoin will be leading that change. I am excited to be part of this change at such a fundamental level.

What experience do you have in interacting with the Telcoin Platform as a user, miner, and/or overall ecosystem participant?

  • In and out of various Telx pools providing liquidity from the start. I stake through the app and have a small number of referrers. Been accumulating Tel since 2018 – so long term hodler - and active participant in the TG (sometimes Discord) groups. Have made a few suggestions through support highlighting some issues and been using the app since Nov 2019 when it was first available in NZ.
  • Voted in the TGIP1 proposal and regularly attend the spaces group chats

Why should you be selected?

  • Why are you running for this position?
  • I am a long term supporter of Telcoin and now that I am retired have the time, energy and skill sets to help Telcoin achieve its mission goals. I fully agree with the Association’s values and objectives and would relish the opportunity to be involved.
  • What unique skills, experiences and credentials do you bring to the role that will assist you in fulfilling your regular and special duties?
  • I bring a certain perspective and maturity to the role & I also provide Liquidity to other platforms so have a broad knowledge of how other blockchains do things. Throughout my 40yr IT career I have developed the following skillsets which I feel will be of great value in evolution of Telx, Telcoin platform and the overall Association
  • highly-skilled in program/project management and governance, business case development, business analysis and systems design, software development, relationship building and excellent people manager/motivator

  • strong SDLC, QA, PMO, Risk Management and Change Management/Facilitating Change skill-sets

  • have managed multiple concurrent projects for both software service/systems providers and client vendor management including several commercially sensitive projects reporting at board level or directly to executive lead team

  • high level of analytical, strategic, innovative and lateral thinking ability – can handle specific detail without losing sight of big picture, exhibits strong can-do attitude

  • good working knowledge of Contract Law, proficient in drafting contracts - firm but pragmatic negotiator, good vendor management skill sets

  • BSc Hons Degree in Computational Science, St Andrew University, Scotland(1978); Certificate in Basic Accounting and Computer Audit Retrieval ; MS PM Certified, Managing ERP AX Implementations:

  • What changes and improvements do you plan to propose?

  • I’d like to create some sort of focus group chats/meetings since the overall Tel platform and its’ objectives are far and wide ranging. In the same way as one size does not fit all then I think the creation of specific focus group topics would be beneficial
  • I’d also like to develop cross chain participation to encourage other coin / project groups to participate in providing liquidity to Telx
  • I’d also like to reinstate a simple way of receiving Tel & DFX rewards since current method through Aura (and potentially Hidden Hand) is way too cumbersome for most people.
  • How will you represent your miner group in decision-making processes to ensure their interests are being voiced and protected?
  • Strong participation in council meetings. My experience has shown I can grasp complex issues but also break things down to explain in a manner that most people can understand.
  • How will you keep your constituency informed?
  • Regular comms through TG, discord and X and through other platforms as required
  • How much time can you dedicate to the role each week?
  • I’m retired !.. so as much as is required

Council Nomination Application: Provide responses to the following questions:

  • Introduction
    • How did you find out about Telcoin and why are you excited about being a part of the Telcoin community
  • Just after the ICO a colleague introduced me to Telcoin as an exciting new venture which one day will be a big name in crypto services.
  • What experience do you have in interacting with the Telcoin Platform as a user, miner, and/or overall ecosystem participant?
  • As an OG in the TELx pools, I reached out to fellow #Telfam members and we established the unofficial “TELx Pool Tips” group on Telegram. In a pure decentralised community spirit, we helped each other with learning how to successfully engage with the platform. Group still exists and still no such thing as a silly question.
  • Why should you be selected?
  • My own opinions are formed by taking on board what other people say. A DAO with the Telcoin Network and TELx Council should operate on a User-owned, Community-driven, Democratic basis.

I feel I can contribute to the best of my ability as someone who is a true believer in the whole Telcoin Ecosystem.
    • What unique skills, experiences and credentials do you bring to the role that will assist you in fulfilling your regular and special duties?
  • I guess my main skill is my passionate support of the Project, the Team and my fellow Telcoiners in the #Telfam.

  • I would like to see continuing improvements and updates to the UI and better and more frequent communication regarding our roadmap.

  • I do not act as a lone wolf but will take consensus from my #Telfam on X , Telegram and Discord.

Mainly via the unofficial TELx Pool Tips Group and Discord channels.
    • How much time can you dedicate to the role each week?
  • Approx 10 hours per week outside of day job in the UK time-zone

Council Nomination Application: Provide responses to the following questions:

  • Introduction
    • How did you find out about Telcoin and why are you excited about being a part of the Telcoin community
      • I discovered Telcoin shortly after ICO. I have been an active community member and contributor since. Telcoin’s community is top notch, as time has progressed the community has evolved to include all walks of life and fresh perspectives, the essence of decentralization. I am excited to be a part of Telcoin’s mission.
    • What experience do you have in interacting with the Telcoin Platform as a user, miner, and/or overall ecosystem participant?
      • As stated above, I have been an active participant in liquidity pools from the beginning. (Telcoin x Uniswap & Balancer circa 2020) The evolution and growth of these products has been incredible to be a part of.
  • Why should you be selected?
    • Why are you running for this position?
      • This position most closely aligns with my skillset and overall interest in decentralized financial services.
    • What unique skills, experiences and credentials do you bring to the role that will assist you in fulfilling your regular and special duties?
      • Specific to this role, I would leverage years of interactions with both TELx and the community at large. I have been preaching the LP word to anyone who would listen.
    • What changes and improvements do you plan to propose?
      • I would like to make the process of providing liquidity easy, as few clicks as possible. I would look to make the process transparent e.g., range of yields, or IL projections, what if scenarios etc… Removing the fear from the process, this is currently the biggest hurdle that I see.
    • How will you represent your miner group in decision-making processes to ensure their interests are being voiced and protected?
